No app, no profiles, no swiping. Members come from churches all over the city, and our first gathering is Thursday, November 12, 2026, in central Austin. Meet the founders: Wari and Alenie Isaac. We met at a church in upstate New York in August 2016, the first week of a fall semester, and discovered we attended the same college. We became fast friends and grew that friendship for over a year and a half, from church events and worship nights to long study sessions in the library. Our first date was on March 18, 2018. We did long distance for over a year, got engaged in 2023, and got married in 2024, before moving out to Austin, Texas. We are now expecting the biggest blessing of our lives, a baby girl.
Wari spent four years as an accountant in real estate development and management services companies and has founded and run businesses in music and music IP tokenization. Alenie is a civil engineer whose specialty is in designing bridges. God writes the most beautiful love stories. He brought together two people from two completely different continents with very different cultural backgrounds: a guy from Nigeria and an Indian girl from New York. We have been blessed to know each other for 10 years now, and to be each other's life partners.
We know what a marriage built on faith can be, and we know how hard this city can make it to find one. Cana is the room we wish existed for our single friends: vetted, hosted, joyful, and unapologetically Christ-centered.

Christians, 21 and over, who affirm the Statement of Faith and are free and genuinely ready to pursue marriage, whether single, divorced, or widowed. All denominations are welcome.
No. Cana is not a church and is not tied to any one congregation. We do ask where you worship, because we hope every member is rooted in a local church family, and many of our members come through the churches we partner with. But the door is the Statement of Faith, not a membership card.
Picture a warm, hosted evening at a nice Austin venue with about 50 vetted, marriage-minded believers, balanced by gender. You are checked in by name and handed a Cana Passport, a small card with conversation prompts that carries you around the room. There is a welcome drink, good food, hosts making sure nobody stands alone, and an opening prayer. No timers, no rotating tables, no pitches. Afterward, you tell us privately who you would like to meet again. If they said the same about you, we introduce you within two days. If not, nobody ever knows.
Three steps before anyone attends. First, you affirm the Statement of Faith and complete a short application. Second, a brief welcome call with our founder where you show a government ID. Third, a background screening through an accredited provider, the same standard churches use for volunteers, with your written consent. Cana records only the outcome and never keeps reports. Your information is never sold or shared with sponsors, churches, or other members.
Thursday, November 12, 2026, 7:00 to 9:30 pm, at a vetted venue in central Austin. The address goes to confirmed, vetted guests only. Founding waitlist members receive the first invitations, with time to complete vetting before the room is set.
The waitlist is free and takes about 60 seconds. The application carries a $15 fee that pays for your safety screening. Membership is $15 a month plus $20 per gathering you attend, or $39 a month with every gathering included. Founding members lock their rate for life. There is no charge to be introduced to someone, ever.
